Against All Barriers

I got into my sister’s van with her 3 kids ages ranging from six to two. It was a chaos in there. You get the picture. To not lose the peace of my mind, I held on to the melody coming from the stereo my sister had been playing. A song captured my heart so I put it on repeat (This comes from my addictive personality). I think I heard it three times until we got to our destination. Thanks to the tune I was listening-for the first time-, I made the journey without losing my sanity. Out of my appreciation, I searched the music as soon as I got home.

Imagine my surprise when I found out that the singer was an American pastor, ministering in South Korea. His Korean sounded perfectly Korean.

That got me to think about all the missionaries in the foreign fields. About all the christian warriors and soul-winners overcoming the traps Satan put on their paths and reach out to the far ends. Nothing will stop them from winning all souls for God. No shells so hard that they cannot break. No barriers impossible to break through in Jesus. No mountain too high. Mountain will give ways, and water will open its path ways for those who travel in faith.

Every time I come across workers of God actively living the lives planned out by God, they make me want to push harder. To me these people are true Olympians. The diamond medalists. It is inspiring to read about how they became who they are in God because through their stories, I can see God’s hands so clearly. His hands are waving at me saying, Wake up, come over here. Join us.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,

that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,

but have everlasting life.

– John 3:16 –
