Hope

I’m going for a long walk today.

Into the woods, along the lake, muddy trails will guide my path.

And on this long, long trail, I finally have time to ponder.

I ponder on all the paths that I have taken.

I think about how all those small roads have brought me here.

It’s a sunny day but deceivingly cold. The cold wind blows occasionally reawakening my senses, reminding me that it is not time to settle yet. The wind is still blowing, urging me on. My paths, many, many paths that I will be embarking on have yet to arrive.

With hope, I go for a long walk once again. Through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary, though I can’t see what lies ahead, I walk on with a joyous heart because of this one hope in Christ alone.

This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.

Hebrews 7:19
